You can join the network and become a Place of Welcome if you:
- Already have an existing drop-in style activity that you would like to be added to the map.
- Would like to set up a new Place of Welcome in your community.
The main criteria for becoming a Place of Welcome is a commitment to our 5 values
Place
An accessible and hospitable building, open at the same time every week
People
Open to everyone regardless of their circumstances or situation, and staffed by volunteers
Presence
A place where people actively listen to one another
Provision
Offering free refreshments (at least a cup of tea and a biscuit) and basic local information
Participation
Every person will bring talents, experiences and skills that they may be willing to share locally

The network is based on trust, respect and generosity and simply making a commitment to our 5 values in the life of your Place of Welcome.
Along with a commitment to our 5 values, each Place Of Welcome needs a coordinator who can manage it on a week by week basis; acting as the point of contact, supporting volunteers, connecting with the wider Places Of Welcome network, and manage signposting information.

Once we have confirmed your membership of the Places of Welcome network and connected you with a local Area Coordinator, we will give you access to our approved logos and publicity materials so that you can advertise your Place of Welcome as a network member.
Please do not use our branding until you’ve officially joined the network.
