We give thanks for all that Nadine was and all that she brought to us

We are sad that our wonderful and much loved colleague Nadine died in January after a time of treatment for cancer.

Nadine’s contribution to our work and life together has been remarkable. We have seen the impact of Places of Welcome grow in depth of relationships on the ground, and also grow with a significant rise in the numbers of Places of Welcome, and volunteers. Nadine’s sense of curiosity too has been influential, in her thoughtful questions and solution orientated reflections. We have valued her kindness, compassion and grace-filled life. She was a person of deep faith, and this radiated out of her.

Nadine’s funeral will be in Guildford this week on Wednesday 19th February at 2pm.

Some staff members are planning to attend in person, but if it is not possible to attend in person, we gently invite those who knew her to use between 2pm and 3pm on that day to do something that remembers Nadine. Nadine loved gardening, so we might wish to go for a walk or spend time in a garden.

We give thanks for all that she was and all that she brought to us.
